While that last one can be mildly entertaining, it can also be a very scary experience—especially if you want nothing to do with him. This goes for guys, too. There are some pretty insane chicks out there.

1. They are always one of the first people to view your stories or posts.
This might be a sign that they are actively keeping tabs on you. While it’s possible that they just happen to be online at the same time as you, if it happens frequently, it’s worth noting.
2. They are liking or commenting on old posts.
If your ex is going back through your old posts and liking or commenting on them, it’s a clear sign that they are spending a significant amount of time on your profile. This behavior is especially concerning if the posts are from a time when you were together, as it could indicate that they are having trouble letting go.
3. They are sending you unsolicited messages.
This shows that they are trying to maintain contact with you. This behavior can be especially worrisome if the messages are aggressive or threatening in nature.
4. The sudden appearance of a new Facebook profile
Have you noticed a new Facebook profile suddenly appearing in your friend requests? If it’s someone with no mutual friends, but they seem to know everything about you and your life, then it could be your ex lurking around. This is one of the common tactics used by stalkers to keep an eye on their victims without raising suspicion.
It’s not uncommon for stalking victims to think that they’re being overly paranoid, but if someone seems too familiar with your online activity despite having no connections with you, then it’s time to investigate further. By creating a new profile under a fake name or pseudonym, a stalker can easily bypass any privacy settings that you have put in place.
5. Frequent status updates and check-ins
One of the signs your ex is stalking you on Facebook is they frequently update their status or check-in to places that seem similar to yours. While it’s possible that this could be a coincidence, it’s worth paying attention to and taking note of.
If you notice that your ex suddenly starts checking in at the same coffee shop or gym as you, or updates their status with vague references to events or activities you’ve recently attended, it could be a sign that they’re keeping tabs on your movements.
It’s important not to jump to conclusions too quickly – there may be other explanations for why your ex is posting about certain locations or activities. However, if this behavior continues over time and seems focused specifically on places and events related to you, it could indicate stalking behavior.
