Despite the passage of time since Princess Diana’s death, her friends and family continue to admire and cherish her memory.

Charles Spencer, her brother, just posted a heartbreaking photo of the princess’s final resting place.

The location is an island in the center of Oval Lake, amid the quiet grounds of Althorp House in Northamptonshire, England. This beautiful site is the ultimate resting place for William and Harry’s mother.

According to Tatler, it has become one of Charles’ favorite places – a serene setting for introspection and pleasant moments with his late sister.

Charles shared an enigmatic snapshot of the island on his Instagram account. Everything appears to be normal, with the exception of the deep morning fog that surrounds the lake.

Princess Diana’s body was laid to rest on the grounds of her childhood home, Althorp Estate, breaking with a millennia-old Spencer family tradition of being buried at St. Mary the Virgin Church in Great Brington.

The Spencer family chose to bury Diana there to safeguard the seclusion and security of her tomb, allowing family members and other visitors to pay their respects in a tranquil and secure environment.
