Charlie Kirk’s widow has shared a deeply emotional confession about motherhood just two months after his passing.
Erika Kirk has spoken openly on several occasions since her husband was killed in September.
The 31-year-old conservative activist was fatally shot on a university campus in Utah while hosting an event.
A 22-year-old man, Tyler Robinson, has been charged in connection with Kirk’s death and is currently awaiting trial, with his next court appearance expected in January.
Authorities took 33 hours to identify and apprehend Robinson, who investigators say had grown “more political” in recent years.
Kirk’s funeral took place at State Farm Stadium in Arizona, drawing high-profile attendees including President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Elon Musk, and other prominent figures.
Erika appeared on stage alongside the President, where both addressed the profound loss.

Erika Kirk interviews
The mother of two has given multiple interviews since her husband’s death, speaking candidly about learning he had been shot.
Describing the emotional swings of grief, she said:
“One day you’re collapsed on the floor crying out the name Jesus in between labored breaths.
“The next you’re playing with your children in the living room, surrounded by family photos, and feeling a rush of something you can only attempt to define as divinely planted and bittersweet joy as a smile breaks through on your face.”

Addressing the graphic footage of her husband’s killing that circulated online, Erika said:
“I never saw the video, I never will see it, I never want to see it.
“There’s certain things you see in your life that you can never unsee, there’s certain things you see that mark your soul forever, and I don’t want my husband’s public assassination to be something I ever see.”
She continued:
“I don’t want my kids to ever see that.
“And for the people who actually enjoy watching that, which is quite literally sick, what if that was your father? Or your brother, sister, there’s a perspective shift there.
“We’re human, life is fragile. And there is so much beauty in the world, why would you spend time looking at something so evil?”
Erika makes headlines
In the weeks following her husband’s death, Erika announced that The Charlie Kirk Show would continue.
“The Charlie Kirk Show is not going anywhere,” she said. “My husband’s voice will live on. The show will go on. We will have rotating hosts, rotating casts, rotating people coming on.
“It is going to be continually the north star of the conservative movement, of the voice of the youth, of the voice of the base, and that will not end.”
Speculation also emerged regarding Erika’s relationship with Vice President Vance after the two shared what some online described as an “inappropriate” hug at an event in Mississippi.

During that moment, Erika briefly touched Vance’s hair, and as they separated, his hand rested at her hip.
Following the rumors, Vance’s wife, Usha, was photographed several times without her wedding ring, prompting further speculation.
Her representative later dismissed the claims, stating:
“She’s a mother of three young children, who does a lot of dishes, gives lots of baths, and forgets her ring sometimes.”
Charlie and Erika’s family plans

The couple shared two children—a three-year-old daughter and a one-year-old son—but had hoped to grow their family further.
After Kirk’s death, Erika has encouraged young women not to delay starting families.
In an interview with Megyn Kelly on SiriusXM’s The Megyn Kelly Channel, she urged women not to wait.
She said:
“When I see young couples, I tell them please, don’t put it off. Especially if you’re a young woman.
“You can always have a career. You can always go back to work.
“You can never just go back to having children, and they grow so fast and so quickly.”
Erika’s heartbreaking confession

During the same interview, Erika revealed a painful truth about the future she and her husband had envisioned.
She shared:
“We were really excited to just expand our family.
“We wanted to have four.
“And I was praying to God that I was pregnant when he got murdered… I was like, ‘Oh goodness, that would be the ultimate blessing out of this catastrophe.’”
Kelly responded softly:
“Thank God you have the two.”
