Experiencing a sudden, terrifying case of total blindness is a brutal way to discover a new type of food.
Two blondes were enjoying their first-ever train trip to Toronto when a snack vendor walked down the corridor selling bananas. Having never seen the fruit before, they were intrigued and each bought one.
The first blonde eagerly peeled hers and took a huge, enthusiastic bite at the exact millisecond the train plunged into a pitch-black mountain tunnel.
When the train finally burst back out into the bright afternoon daylight, she looked across at her companion in absolute horror. “Stop! Whatever you do, don’t eat that!”
“Why on earth not?” her friend asked, startled.
“Because I took just one bite of mine and went completely blind for thirty seconds!”
