I meant to text my friend: “I HATE THIS JOB.”
Instead, my clumsy thumbs sent it straight to my boss. My stomach immediately dropped.
Three seconds later, he replied: “Same.”
Before I could even process my relief, another message popped up: “Don’t worry.”
Followed by: “I accidentally forwarded your text to the CEO.”
I froze in absolute terror. But a minute later, the CEO replied to the thread: “Same.”
Five minutes after that, HR emailed all three of us: “Please stop using Reply All.”
