The Three Pastors and the Bat Problem
Three pastors from different churches in the same town met for lunch at a local diner. As they were chatting, they realized they all shared the exact same annoying problem: their church attics were completely infested with bats.
The first pastor sighed and said, “I finally got tired of the mess, so I took a sh0tg-un up to the attic. I sh0t at them, but all I did was put holes in the roof. The noise scared them away for a day, but the next night, they all came back with their friends.”
The second pastor shook his head and said, “That’s nothing. I tried a more humane approach. I trapped all the bats in large cages, loaded them into my truck, and drove 50 miles out of town into the deep woods before releasing them. But do you know what? By the time I drove back to the church, the bats had already flown back and were waiting for me in the attic!”
The third pastor smiled calmly, took a sip of his coffee, and said, “Well, I managed to solve my bat problem completely, permanently, and without spending a single dollar.”
The other two pastors gasped in amazement. “How on earth did you do that?” they asked together.
The third pastor winked and replied, “It was easy. I just caught them all, baptized them, confirmed them as official members of the church, and now I only see them once a year on Christmas!”
