Adorable little girl with dσwn sчndrσmє takes fashion runway by storm winning junior top model
A little girl from the small country Malta has been challenging society’s perception of what it means to be beautiful since she started her modelling career.
Francesca Rausi is a 4-year-old fashion model with dσwn sчndrσmє.
She walked in a fashion show for disabled models in Malta and even took part in a modelling contest that earned her the title of “junior top model”, among other achievements, her mother said.
Now Francesca’s proud mother, Michelle, 43, hopes her daughter can follow in Madeline’s footsteps and raise awareness about dσwn sчndrσmє.
In an interview, her mother, Michelle, says Francesca has been modelling since she was a child. She has since appeared more than five times on the catwalk at fashion shows and has become very comfortable with her role.
‘Francesca has been modelling since she was very young. She loves it and was the first toddler in Malta to take part in a modelling competition and won junior top model,’.
Michelle added that her daughter feels “very comfortable” on the catwalk in front of people and has modelled in five shows.
At a previous international fashion event, Francesca took home the ‘Best Cute Model’ award, and shortly after was crowned ‘Best Junior Super Model’ at the Miss Junior Malta pageant.
She admitted to feeling ‘very emotional’ when watching her because she sees the ‘happiness in her eyes’, which she described as ‘out of this world’.
Francesca’s last appearance was at a fashion show for models in Malta organised by Tiziana Randisi, who initiated the event to encourage the inclusion of people with disabilities. The show featured 22 models with various disabilities, aged between four and 24. The aim was to change the minds of people who think of a disability as a limit and show that these models are not limited at all.
Francesca’s mum Michelle has set up an Instagram page – @frani002 – where she posts adorable photos of her little girl.
This heartwarming story of a plucky little girl not afraid to pursue her dreams deserves to be spread far and wide. It melts my heart to see such a little girl succeed. We are only limited by the limitations we impose on ourselves.
