One day, an old farmer took his two sons behind the barn and pointed toward a dusty, old shed.
“There’s a secret in there,” he said mysteriously.
“I’ve kept it hidden for forty years.”
The two sons immediately became curious.
“What’s inside, Dad?”
Their father simply smiled.
“Someday, you’ll find out.”
And that was all he would say.
Neither son was ever allowed inside the shed.
Years later, after their father passed away, the brothers finally decided it was time to uncover the legendary family secret.
They broke the lock, slowly opened the door…
And stared inside.
Nothing.
Absolutely nothing.
The youngest brother scratched his head.
“But Dad said there was a secret!”
His older brother noticed a small note nailed to the wall.
He pulled it down and read it aloud:
“The secret was getting you two to clean the shed.”
The brothers looked at each other in silence.
Then they burst out laughing.
Forty years of mystery…
And their dad had been planning chores from beyond the grave.
