How to make your bedroom sᴇxɪᴇʀ, for a hotter, more fulfilling love life

Obviously, you can think that the primary purpose of a bedroom is relaxation and sleeping, but most importantly, it’s also the space for your 𝓼𝓮𝔁y adventures! No matter if you’re into one-night stands or monogamous, stable relationships, you should make your bedroom atmospheric, welcoming, and 𝓼𝓮𝔁y. If your decor lacks that sensuous vibe, you should think about rearranging it so that it can set you and your partner in the right mood for some hot action. To make it a bit easier for you, we have prepared a list of tips on how to decorate your bedroom in a 𝓼𝓮𝔁y way. Check it out!

1. Clean your sheets

Deep down, we’re simple creatures who really don’t need fancy, expensive bedding with a super-high thread count. What matters more is that your sheets are clean and smell good. Clean sheets make people feel good, and they’re way 𝓼𝓮𝔁ier than red satin bedding any day.

2. Always implement effective lighting

Playing around with lighting is one of the most effective ways of adding 𝓼𝓮𝔁y back into your bedroom. Make use of different shades of light, always keeping in mind to purchase light bulbs that save energy. If possible, add a dimmer in order to adjust the brightness in your bedroom for that extra little bit of choice. You never know when you’ll need a brighter light and when you’ll want to dim it down a little bit.

3. Keep it neutral with hints of color

Darker colors make you sleep better, but the key to finding out how to make your bedroom 𝓼𝓮𝔁ier is to use neutral colors as your base and hints of brightness if you do plan on adding a little bit of excitement.

4. Leave technology downstairs

Letting him rub your shoulders after a long day? Definitely 𝓼𝓮𝔁y. Hearing him say, “Wait, I have to check that message” while you’re trying to put the moves on? Not so much. Keep unnecessary technology out of the bedroom.

5. …unless it’s for music

Of course, you do need to add music when getting your 𝓼𝓮𝔁y on. It helps with all the distractions in your mind and helps you relax when you need it most. In order to add music, you do need some form of technology, so for this, we’ll make an exception.

6. Make it feel like a hotel

One of the reasons we feel frisky on vacation: It’s a special getaway that takes us out of the day-to-day hassles. Bring some of that hotel vibe in by putting a nice bottle of water on your nightstand, a chocolate on your pillow, a super soft blanket across the mattress—anything that creates an environment of luxury and makes you feel pampered. For a long-term investment into your 𝓼𝓮𝔁 life, consider purchasing thick curtains that can block out light and some noise. Do whatever you can to keep the outside world out so you can concentrate on your partner.

7. Have candles and lanterns at the ready

Candles always carry a romantic connotation and for good reason. The light they cast is the softest, warmest and 𝓼𝓮𝔁iest around. Everyone looks good in candlelight. For an even bigger effect, place you candles inside a lantern that will cast great shadows and light on your walls.

8. Add mirrors to the mix

While some may feel mirrors make them too self-conscious, it’s worth the risk. While not good for a sleepy, slumbering bedroom, an attractive, large standing mirror or wall mirror that allows you to watch yourselves, when you’re ready to, is super stimulating and can take you to new heights. If it’s a large standing mirror, you can easily move it if you want to as well.

9. Cleanliness is 𝓼𝓮𝔁y, don’t forget it

It’s actually the first thing a person senses when they walk into the bedroom and is the biggest turn off, even when everything else is okay. Honestly, no man wants to make love in a dirty space. I’m not talking about 𝓼𝓮𝔁y dirty. I mean hair and make-up residue left on the floor from the previous two weeks, dirty cups next to the bed, and clothes everywhere. Always keep it clean. You’ll feel 𝓼𝓮𝔁ier and your bedroom will scream sophistication. Always remember that.
