The Best Parenting Advice Ever

One stormy night, a pregnant woman went into labor just as the power went out.
With the neighborhood in complete darkness, only one paramedic was able to respond to the emergency.
The only source of light in the house was a flashlight, so the paramedic turned to the woman’s three-year-old daughter, Kathleen.
“Can you hold this flashlight nice and high for me?” he asked.
Kathleen nodded proudly and stood perfectly still, determined to help.
After several tense minutes, the baby was finally born.
The paramedic gently lifted the newborn, gave him the customary pat on the bottom, and the little boy let out a healthy cry.
Everyone breathed a huge sigh of relief.
Smiling, the paramedic looked at Kathleen and asked,
“So… what do you think of your new baby brother?”
The little girl stared at him with wide eyes for a moment before answering,
“He shouldn’t have crawled in there in the first place…”
“…and I think you should smack him one more time just to make sure he never does it again!”
The room went silent…
Then everyone burst into laughter.
