The Email That Arrived From the Wrong Place
My wife and I wanted to spend a romantic weekend on the Baltic Sea.
In the same hotel where we spent our honeymoon ten years ago.
However, something came up for my wife at work shortly before our departure.
So we decided that I would go ahead on Thursday and she would follow on Friday.
Upon arriving at the hotel, I discovered that there was a computer with internet access in the room.
I decided to write an email to my wife.
Unfortunately, I made a typo in the email address.
At the same time, in another city, a widow returned home after the funeral of her husband, who had died completely unexpectedly of a heart attack.
She sat down at the computer to check for messages from family and friends.
She had barely opened the first email when she collapsed and fainted.
Her son heard the noise, ran into the room and found his mother unconscious in front of the computer.
The screen displayed:
To my beloved wife.
I arrived safely.
You’ll be surprised to hear from me today.
There are even computers here that you can use to send messages to your loved ones.
I have already prepared everything for your arrival tomorrow.
I’m really looking forward to seeing you again.
I hope your trip is as pleasant as mine.
PS: Don’t bring too many warm clothes…
