The Farmer Expected an Apology… But the Boy Had a Different Answer
A hillbilly farmer drove over to his neighbor’s farmhouse and knocked on the door.
A boy, about nine years old, answered.
“Is your dad or your mum home?” the farmer asked.
“No, sir. They went to town.”
“Well, how about your brother Chuck? Is he here?”
“Nope. He went with Mum and Dad.”
The farmer stood there for a moment, shifting from foot to foot.
The boy finally said,
“I know where all the tools are if you want to borrow one… or I can give my dad a message.”
“Well,” the farmer said awkwardly,
“I really need to talk to your dad. It’s about your brother Chuck getting my daughter Susie pregn@nt.”
The boy thought for a second or two, then replied,
“You’d have to talk to Dad about that one. You see, I know he charges $100 for the bull and $50 for the pig… but I don’t know how much he charges for Chuck.”
