A woman was relaxing with her lover when she suddenly heard the front door unlock.
“My husband!” she gasped. “Quick… stand in the corner!”
She grabbed a bottle of baby oil, rubbed it all over him, dusted him with talcum powder, and whispered,
“Don’t move a muscle. You’re a statue. I’ll handle the rest.”
A moment later, her husband walked in, glanced around the room, and frowned.
“Uh… what’s with the statue?”
Without missing a beat, she smiled.
“Oh, the Smiths bought one for their bedroom. I thought it looked classy, so I got one for us too.”
“Hmm…” her husband replied.
And that was the end of the conversation.
Later that night, the couple went to bed, while the “statue” remained frozen in the corner.
Around two o’clock in the morning, the husband quietly got up, walked to the kitchen, and came back carrying a sandwich and a cold beer.
He handed them to the motionless “statue” and whispered,
“Here, buddy… you’ll need these.”
The statue blinked in surprise.
The husband grinned and said,
“I stood like that for two days at the Smiths’ house… and not a single person offered me so much as a glass of water.”
