My son was chosen to be the ring bearer at his older sister’s wedding.
We practiced for weeks.
Walk slowly.
Look serious.
Carry the rings.
Absolutely no funny business.
When the big day finally arrived, he stepped onto the aisle.
Step… step…
So far, so good.
Then suddenly, he stopped.
He slowly turned toward the guests, raised both hands like claws, and let out a giant:
“ROAAAAR!”
The guests burst out laughing.
Then he took two more steps.
Stopped.
Turned around.
“ROAAAAR!”
Two more steps.
“ROAAAAR!”
And he kept doing it all the way down the aisle.
Within seconds, the elegant wedding had turned into a full-blown comedy show.
Guests were wiping away tears.
Phones came out.
People were shaking with laughter.
Even the wedding party could barely keep a straight face.
When he finally reached the altar, his sister leaned down and whispered,
“What on earth are you doing?”
He proudly puffed out his chest and replied:
“I’m the Ring Bear!”
The entire room completely lost it.
And just like that, he became the most memorable ring bear anyone had ever seen.
