A priest and a pastor were standing beside a lonely road, holding a large sign that read:
“THE END IS NEAR! TURN AROUND NOW BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE!”
A car sped toward them.
The driver rolled down his window and shouted,
“You guys are crazy!”
Then he hit the gas and disappeared around the corner.
A few seconds later, they heard the unmistakable sound of screeching tires…
followed by a huge SPLASH!
The priest slowly looked at the pastor.
The pastor looked back.
After a long silence, the priest sighed.
“Maybe we should change the sign.”
The pastor nodded.
“What should it say?”
The priest replied,
“BRIDGE OUT.”
The pastor smiled.
“Yeah… let’s save the theology for later and give them directions first.”
