A woman and a tiny baby were waiting in the examination room for the infant’s very first checkup.
The doctor arrived, weighed the baby, and looked a bit concerned. “Is this baby breast-fed or bottle-fed?” he asked.
“Breast-fed,” the woman replied.
“In that case, please strip down to your waist,” the doctor ordered.
She complied, and the doctor proceeded to conduct an incredibly thorough, highly professional, and lengthy physical examination of her breasts.
Finally, motioning for her to get dressed, the doctor shook his head and said, “It is no wonder this baby is underweight, ma’am. You don’t have a single drop of milk!”
“I know,” she replied cheerfully, putting her shirt back on. “I’m his grandmother, but I sure am glad I volunteered to bring him in today!”
