A married man was visiting his girlfriend when she looked at him and said,
“Please shave your beard. I want to see your handsome face!”
He shook his head.
“I can’t! My wife loves this beard. She’d kill me if I shaved it off.”
But his girlfriend kept begging.
Eventually, he gave in, shaved his beard, and went home that night.
He quietly slipped into bed beside his sleeping wife.
A few seconds later, she reached over, felt his smooth face, and whispered,
“Oh, Michael… you’d better leave before my husband gets home.”
Michael froze.
Apparently, the beard wasn’t the only thing keeping his identity safe.
He quietly got out of bed and realized he had just become a stranger in his own marriage.
